Layers of Life

Inevitably when riding in the mountains you're blessed with some amazing scenery. The serenity that is felt is worth every hard earned pedal stroke to get there. I often find myself gazing at the horizon, miles away in the distance, counting how many layers make up the view at which my eyes and mind are trying to comprehend. From the edge of the road to the first line of trees, and far beyond, as the mountains cascade in series to the valley far below.

Is the furthest layer on the horizon the future, where you're trying to get to? Or are you looking back at the past? Life's layers can be interpreted in many different ways, that's the beauty of riding and dreaming. Something we all should do once in a while.
