Yellow Slippers

Imagine riding all day with the performance of a race shoe but with the comfort of your favourite pair of slippers! I've ridden in a whole host of shoes over the years, from American and Italian all the way through to the best offerings from a rather well known Japanese company. Granted, all have offered good performance which I thought was 'top of the game' at the time of using and abusing.

It was soon apparent that the performance stakes had risen dramatically when I first slipped Mavic's new Zxellium race shoe on. The first thing I realised was just how light they were, a mere 275g. The upper is the most comfortable I've yet to ride in, padded in all the right places whilst being malleable enough not to cause any stress points on your feet when in the saddle all day. With a two strap, one ratchet closure there's more than enough support to keep your foot held firm on the toughest of climbs or sprints whilst a full carbon outsole ensures all power is transferred to the pedal.

So ask yourself the question "what do Mavic know about footwear?"

When you've tried the Zxellium's for yourself I'm sure you'll have the same answer I did - "more than the competition by all accounts"...
