Cotti on Creation

Now as far as workloads go, creating the world in seven days is an ambitious schedule for anyone. As with all 1st generation creations, despite showing areas of genius, flaws are inevitable which makes way for a refined 2nd, 3rd, 4th generation product. Take the first I-Pod or Cannondale Raven for example. Both geniuses in their own right, but by no means perfect.

I’m not completely sold on the notion that because Adam was a little peckish and munched down a ripe Pink Lady a few years back all the unjust was brought into the world. Remember, Monday morning a blank drawing board and by close of play on Sunday everything had to be done. That’s heavy.

Having just about done all the important stuff, strategically positioning mountain ranges throughout the world, working out how to turn a bundle of fur, claws and teeth into the cuteness of a kitten and mapping out a cacophony of the coolest rides imaginable, it was time to turn attention to man and woman. I expect it was about Thursday at this point so time was marching on (and with Strictly Come Dancing & X-Factor on Saturday night there was another couple of hours wasted right there). Inevitably the creation of mankind was a rush job which in reality is why we have so many bugs. Men are never wrong, women are always right…that’s why we get on so well, right?

Anyway, as I was saying, having done all the important things the realisation suddenly dawned that the bike hadn’t been created, so mankind was shelved (with all glitches) to make way for the finest creation of all time.

Of course it says that ‘the 7th day is to Rest’, but this is a simple typo (I make them all the time so I’ll forgive him for that one) when it should have been 'the 7th day is to Ride'. Now it all makes sense.

So in conclusion the school report on creation would read ”A good first attempt, but could do better”.
